Zirconium (IV) hydrogen phosphate
CAS No.13772-29-7
EINECS No.: 237-401-7
Formula: Zr(HPO4)2·H2O/ Zr(HPO4)2 / (ZrO)2P2O7
Apearance: White powder
Zirconium phosphate, as a multifunctional material, has enormous potential application prospects in many fields. Zirconium phosphate has the commonality of layered compounds and high chemical stability. It has both ion exchange properties like ion resins and adsorption and catalytic properties like zeolite, with high thermal stability, acid and alkali resistance, and mechanical strength. The surface of zirconium phosphate carries Na+and H+ions. When zirconium phosphate encounters a solution containing more active monovalent or divalent cations such as K+, Ca2+, or Mg2+, it preferentially releases Na+and H+as exchange adsorption for other cations. Then replace these ions from them to adjust charge balance, pH balance, etc.
