It has both ion exchange properties like ion resins and adsorption and catalytic properties like zeolite, with high thermal stability, acid and alkali resistance, and mechanical strength. When zirconium phosphate encounters a solution containing more active monovalent or divalent cations such as K+, Ca2+, or Mg2+, it preferentially releases Na+and H+as exchange adsorption for other cations. Then replace these ions from them to adjust charge balance, pH balance, etc.
