Zirconium hydrogen phosphate is a multifunctional mesoporous material and one of the layered solid acid materials. It is used in fields such as chemistry, optics, electronics, materials science, and environmental science.

Zirconium hydrogen phosphate has three structural types: alpha, gamma, and tau. It is a white powder, insoluble in water and general organic solvents, and can withstand strong acids and certain bases. Used for adding lubricating grease and oil, it can enhance the load-bearing and anti-wear capacity of the oil, reduce the viscosity of the base oil, and improve the anti friction and wear resistance of the base oil.

Used in catalysts, zirconium phosphate can be used as both a catalyst and a catalyst carrier.
